Follow-up reminders help you stay organized, ensure timely communication, and keep track of future candidate-related tasks. For example, you can set up a reminder to contact a candidate who is out of town when they return.
Create a follow-up reminder
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
- Select the job title that includes the candidate.
- Select the candidate’s name from the Candidate Breakdown screen.
-
On the candidate’s profile, select the clock icon to set a follow-up. The Set a Follow-Up window opens.
- Select a due date for the follow-up.
- Enter comments if needed.
-
Select Save. The follow-up is tracked in the candidate’s Newsfeed.
The follow-up due date is added to the clock icon at the top of the candidate's profile.
Review follow-up reminders
You can review follow-ups in two places:
-
Select Follow-Ups in the left navigation menu to see all the reminders you created.
-
View your Home dashboard. Candidates with a follow-up show a clock icon next to their name.
Edit or delete a follow-up reminder
- Select the job title that includes the candidate.
- Select the candidate’s name with the follow-up reminder.
- Select the clock icon.
- In the menu that appears, select the option to edit, add to calendar, or delete the reminder.
- Edit: Allows you to update the due date and comments for the follow-up reminder.
- Add to Calendar: Allows you to add the follow-up reminder to your calendar (Outlook or Google).
-
Delete: Will permanently remove the follow-up reminder from the candidate and system.
