Create and manage candidate follow up reminders

Describes how to create follow-up reminders on a candidate’s profile to track the actions you need to complete later.

This article is for administrators.

Follow-up reminders help you stay organized, ensure timely communication, and keep track of future candidate-related tasks.  For example, you can set up a reminder to contact a candidate who is out of town when they return.

Create a follow-up reminder

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
  2. Select the job title that includes the candidate.
  3. Select the candidate’s name from the Candidate Breakdown screen.
  4. On the candidate’s profile, select the clock icon to set a follow-up. The Set a Follow-Up window opens.
  5. Select a due date for the follow-up.
  6. Enter comments if needed.
  7. Select Save. The follow-up is tracked in the candidate’s Newsfeed.

The follow-up due date is added to the clock icon at the top of the candidate's profile.

Review follow-up reminders

You can review follow-ups in two places:

  • Select Follow-Ups in the left navigation menu to see all the reminders you created.

  • View your Home dashboard. Candidates with a follow-up show a clock icon next to their name.

Edit or delete a follow-up reminder

  1. Select the job title that includes the candidate.
  2. Select the candidate’s name with the follow-up reminder.
  3. Select the clock icon.
  4. In the menu that appears, select the option to edit, add to calendar, or delete the reminder.
  • Edit: Allows you to update the due date and comments for the follow-up reminder.
  • Add to Calendar:  Allows you to add the follow-up reminder to your calendar (Outlook or Google).
  • Delete:  Will permanently remove the follow-up reminder from the candidate and system.
