Candidate Search helps you find candidates in your database using a variety of search criteria, including search terms, stages, tags, and application answers.
Use search bar to find a candidate
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.

Locate the search bar at the top left of the screen.

If you know the candidate’s name, enter the candidate’s name in the search bar.
- Review the drop-down list that appears.
- The most recently updated record displays first.
- If the candidate has multiple records for different jobs, the most recently updated record appears at the top.
- Select the candidate record you want to open.
After you select a candidate name from the search results, the system opens the candidate’s record so you can view or update their information.
Use Candidate Search to find a candidate
If you don't know the candidate's name or want to search for a group of candidates, you can use other search options in Candidate Search.

Select the Magnifying Glass icon in the top left corner of the screen.
- Select Candidate Search.
- Select Advanced Search to open the additional search filters. Use the filter options on the left side of the screen to narrow your results:
- Tags
- Candidate Details
- Candidate History
- Job Information
- System Filters
- Candidate Filters

Once you have entered your search filters, select the Magnifying Glass icon at the top of the screen to run the search. Applicants that match those filters will appear on the right side of the screen.
Important notes
The main search bar at the top of the page uses or logic. It searches the following candidate fields:
- Name
- Resume
- Application
- Comments
For example, a search for Jason returns candidates with any of the following:
- A Name that contains Jason
- A Resume that contains the word Jason
- An Application that contains the word Jason
- Comments that contain the word Jason
To search for partial names, use a wildcard asterisk (*).
- Example: Search for Jon* to find candidates named Jonathan.
