Overview
Recruiting lets you send job applicants to your company’s careers page from any website where you post a job.
Sometimes you post jobs on other sites, not just the main sites like Indeed, LinkedIn, or Glassdoor.
To help with this, we use Tracking Links. These are special links that send people straight to your job posting on your website. You can use them on places like Craigslist, ZipRecruiter, Job Fairs, Paid LinkedIn posts, Job Slots, and more.
Why it helps to send applicants to your site:
- You can ask Minimum Qualification questions during the application process.
- You can offer a voluntary EEO / OFCCP survey.
- You can track where each applicant came from (source).
- You do not get emailed resumes or spam because Recruiting puts all applicants in the system for you.
Advertise on a job board with tracking links
- Add a new candidate source.
- Create a job in Recruiting.
- Activate the job.
- Open the Job Info window or select Info on the job.
- To create a unique URL for any job board:
- Go to the Job Promotion menu.
- Select Source.
- Select Create a Tracking Link.
- Select Copy Link, then go to the job board to post that job.
- When asked how you want to receive applicants (usually by email or your website), choose you want applicants to apply to your website.
- Paste your Tracking Link into the field.
When applicants select the link, they are sent directly to the job and Recruiting tracks where they came from.

Considerations
Some job sites make it easy
Job sites like Dice.com and LinkedIn have an Apply to URL field in their job description creator, where you can paste your tracking link.
Example:

Note: Some sites do not allow Tracking Links or Shortened Tracking Links.
You might still get some emails from job sites
This happens when people do not read your job description and do not select the Apply Here link.
On sites like Dice.com, which have an Apply to URL link, this is not an issue.
You can also turn off the Apply by Email settings on most job boards. For example, on Monster.com, select Offline Contact.
After a job is removed
If you remove a job from your website:
- A person who selects an old Tracking Link will see a message that the job is filled.
- Then, they are redirected to your main careers page.
