Set a default sourcing manager for Smart Sourcing in Recruiting

This starts the setup of Smart Sourcing for Recruiting.

This article is for administrators

Administrators and Staffing users can assign a default Smart Sourcing Manager.

Only Administrators and Staffing users can be assigned as the default Smart Sourcing Manager.

All user types can be assigned the Smart Sourcing Manager role on a job-by-job basis.

The Smart Sourcing Manager helps improve candidate searches in Paycor Smart Sourcing. This person reviews sample candidate profiles and gives feedback about what makes a strong candidate. Smart Sourcing uses that feedback to improve search results and recommend better matches.

You can assign a Smart Sourcing Manager for a specific job. You can also set a default Smart Sourcing Manager for your Paycor Recruiting account.

The default Smart Sourcing Manager should be someone who understands the skills, qualifications, and experience your organization usually looks for in candidates. Choosing the right person helps create more consistent and accurate candidate matches across many positions.

Set a default Smart Sourcing manager

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
  2. Go to Admin > Company Settings > Integrations > Paycor Smart Sourcing.
  3. Select Default Smart Sourcing Manager
  4. In the pop-up window, select the circle next to the user you want to assign.
Note: Only administrators and Staffing users can be assigned as default Smart Sourcing managers. Standard users can be the Smart Sourcing Manager on a job-by-job basis.

  5. Select Save. The selected user now displays the Default Smart Sourcing Manager.
