Calibrate a job profile in Smart Sourcing

Overview 

This is Step 4 in the process to set up and use Smart Sourcing for Recruiting.

Smart Sourcing analyzes your job description and provides candidate profiles that closely match your description. 

This article describes how administrators and Smart Sourcing Managers calibrate a job to fine-tune the unwritten qualities that identify the best potential candidates.

You can now select multiple insights for a single candidate. This improves candidate matching accuracy. It allows AI to learn more effectively and deliver more relevant results. 

When a job is ready to calibrate, the Smart Sourcing Manager assigned to that job receives a notification.


Calibrate job profiles in Smart Sourcing 

  1. After receiving a notification, the Smart Sourcing Manager logs into Paycor and goes to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking. Paycor Recruiting appears.

Tip:

  • If you have not received a notification, verify your notification settings in Paycor Recruiting by clicking the settings (gear) icon at the top-right of Recruiting, then click Notification Settings.
  • You can opt to receive the calibration status notifications in the Recruiting Notification Center, by Email, or both.  
  1. At the top-left, click Calibrations. The job that needs calibration opens. 
  2. At the top-right of the job description screen, click Calibrate.
  • This launches Smart Sourcing, and you might see a notification when it loads the Smart Sourcing Summary screen. 
  1. Review the candidate's profile information.
    1. Select Qualify if the candidate is relevant.
    2. Select Disqualify if the candidate is not relevant.  
  2. Select one or more insights that support your decision.
  3. Choose multiple relevant insights for the same candidate profile.
  4. After completing your selections, select Next Profile. The system refines the search using all selected insights. A new candidate profile displays.
    Note: To get the best candidates, managers must rate at least 7 profiles.
  5. After you finish, a select a sourcing method for candidates.

Smart Sourcing Qualify and Disqualify Reasons

Job Title

Qualify/Disqualify candidates because of their job title: 

  • Qualify candidates who are currently in this position -or-
  • Disqualify candidates to exclude the job title from search -or-
  • Add more relevant job titles.

 

Current Company

Qualify/Disqualify candidate because of their current company. 

  • Qualify candidates who are currently working at this company -or-
  • Disqualify candidates to exclude this company from your company search -or-
  • Select candidates who work at a specific company.

 

Job Tenure
  • Qualify candidates because of their average job tenure -or-
  • Disqualify candidates and select a value from the list that represents candidates whose tenure is lower than thea  value you select.

 

Location
  • Qualify candidates because of their location -or-
  • Disqualify candidates and refine your search criteria to adjust or add a the location.

 

Industry
  • Qualify candidates because they worked in a specific industry -or-
  • Disqualify candidates and refine your search criteria to exclude candidates who work in that industry -or-
  • Add industries if lacking an industry.

 

Matched Skills
  • Qualify candidates based on matched skills, like Data Entry, Reports, and Word or Excel.
  • Select all the match skills you want to apply from the list.  
  • Disqualify candidates and apply missing skills to qualify the candidate.

 

Years of Experience
  • Qualify or disqualify candidates based on their relevant years of experience.

 

Education
  • Qualify or disqualify candidates based on their education.

 

Managerial Experience
  • Qualify or disqualify candidates based on their years of managerial experience.

 

Seniority
  • Qualify or disqualify candidates based on your preferred seniority range.
