Create a candidate

This article shows you how to quickly add a new candidate to a job, fill in required fields, upload a resume, and save or clone entries to add more candidates.

This article is for administrators.

We make it easy to add candidates to any open job or your generic candidate pool with multiple options.

Follow these steps to add a candidate manually:

  1. In Recruiting, select Create a Candidate.
  2. Complete the required information fields. Required fields are marked with a star icon.
    1. The candidate should be linked to an active job or the generic candidate pool.
    2. Notes:
      • The Candidate Type and Candidate Sources fields help you determine where the candidate originated. They can be changed in a candidate's profile later if needed.
      • The Profile/Web page field is required and becomes a normal field when a valid email address is entered for the candidate.
  3. If you have a resume, select Upload or drag and drop the file into this field.
    1. Note: If you select Parse, Recruiting automatically populates as many fields as possible. If the resume cannot be parsed, you must complete all required fields to create the candidate.
  4. Select Save. You can complete the process again to add as many candidates as needed.
    1. Note: Save and Clone allows you to keep the job and source information while adding many candidates.
