You must be an admin or staffing user to perform bulk actions.
You can use Bulk Actions to update multiple candidates at the same time when they are associated with the same job. This feature helps you save time and manage candidate records more efficiently.
You can use Bulk Actions to:
- Copy candidates to another job
- Cut and paste candidates to another job
- Change the status of multiple candidates
Copy candidates to another job
When you copy candidates, Recruiting adds them to a new job and keeps them in the current job. Nothing is removed. This creates a duplicate candidate record for each selected candidate. Use this option when you want candidates to remain associated with the current job.
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
- Select the job title. The job record page opens to the Candidate Breakdown section.

Select Bulk Actions. The Bulk Actions window opens.

Select Copy Candidates to Another Job, then select Next.

Select candidates individually or select All to choose all candidates in the list.
Note: To include Inactive, Hired, or Internal Referrals, select Any Status and Any Type to make the appropriate selections.
- Select Next.

Select the destination job. Use search or filter options to find the job as needed.

Select Next.
- Review and update the copy options as needed.

Available options include:

Comments
- Copy All Comments
- DO NOT Copy Comments

Attachments
- Copy All Attachments
- Only Copy Resume and Application

Candidate Type
- Select a different candidate type for the new job.
- Leave Do Not Modify Candidate Type selected.

Candidate Source
- Select a different candidate source for the new job.
- Leave Do Not Modify Candidate Source selected.

Settings
- Select Save Settings as my Default for Copying Candidates if needed.

Post Comments
- Enter comments in the available text field.

Make Private
- Select this option to make Post Comments visible only to selected users.

- Select Save.
Cut and paste candidates to another job
Cut and paste moves candidates from the current job to a different job. The candidates and their associated data, including reporting and analytics data, are removed from the current job.
Use this option only when you no longer need the candidates or their data in the current job.
Steps
- Select the job title. The job record page opens to the Candidate Breakdown section.
- Select Bulk Actions. The Bulk Actions window opens.

Select Cut and Paste Candidates to Another Job, then select Next.

Select candidates individually or select All.
Note: To include Inactive, Hired, or Internal Referrals, select Any Status and Any Type to make the appropriate selections. By default, the list does not display candidates who are Inactive, Hired, or Internal.
- Select Next.

Select the destination job. Use the search and filter options to find the correct job.
- Select Next.
- Review and update these options:
- Post Comments: Add comments in the available text field.
- Make Private: Select this option to make Post Comments visible only to selected users.

Select Save.
Change the status of multiple candidates
Use this option to update the status of multiple candidates at the same time.
Important: If you use Bulk Actions to make multiple candidates Inactive, Recruiting does not send Thank You Letters automatically. Instead, the candidates move to the Pending Thank You Letters area. An administrator can send the letters later. For more information on Pending Thank You Letters, refer to Manage and send pending thank you letters.
- Select the job title. The job record page opens to the Candidate Breakdown section.
- Select Bulk Actions. The Bulk Actions window opens.

Select Change Status of Multiple Candidates, then select Next.

Select candidates individually or select All.
Note: To include Inactive, Hired, or Internal Referrals, select Any Status and Any Type to make the appropriate selections.
- Select Next.

Select the new status for the candidates.
- Add comments in Post Comments, if needed.
- Select Make Private if you want Post Comments visible only to selected users.

Select Save.
Tips
- Use Copy Candidates to Another Job when candidates should remain in both jobs.
- Use Cut and Paste Candidates to Another Job only when candidates should be removed from the current job.
- Review your selections before saving to help prevent unintended updates.
