You must have admin or staffing user access or be assigned a role on the job.
The candidate profile must exist.
Important information about attachments

Image files cannot be attached when transferring hired candidates to Onboarding.
- Image files cause candidate transfers to fail.
- Stay away from adding .jpeg and .png files to candidate profiles in Recruiting.

These file types can be added to candidate profiles and transfer with the candidate if they are hired.
Add attachments or custom file types
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
- Open the candidate's record.

Select + Add File from the document viewer section.

- In the Type of File field, select a file type label.
- Select a standard label that matches the document type.

If a suitable label is not available, select Custom File Type to create a new label.
- Enter a name for the custom file type.

Use a clear name, such as References, Portfolio, or Assessment.
- Add the file.
- Drag and drop the file into the upload area, or

Select Browse for a File and then choose the file to upload.
- If needed, select Make Private.
- Select Upload to add the file to the candidate’s profile.

After you upload the file, the system adds the attachment to the document viewer section of the candidate's record and displays the file name in the file type tab.
Examples
Example: Adding a resume attachment
- Before: Candidate record has no resume attached.
- After: Candidate record includes a resume file labeled Resume, and you can view that document in the document viewer on the candidate’s profile.
Example: Custom file types
- Before: Only standard file types are available.
- After: Custom file types such as Portfolio and Assessment appear in the list of file types.
