What are the new email deliverability requirements? 

• Beginning February 1, 2024, Google and Yahoo will require email senders to authenticate their emails using security protocols like DKIM, SPF and DMARC.
• These new standards are being implemented in attempt to enhance security, reduce the risk of phishing, spam, and malware, and ultimately create a more secure email experience.
• Email authentication makes an organization less vulnerable to bad actors and spam attacks.

What action is Paycor taking to address these new requirements? 

• While the official deadline for the requirements is February 1, 2024, Paycor has already noticed an impact to email deliverability for some clients.
  • Therefore, we are acting urgently on your behalf.
  • If you have not already enabled security protocols like DKIM, SPF and DMARC, Paycor Recruiting will no longer have the ability to send emails on the behalf of your domain.
• Starting on Wednesday, January 24, 2024:
  • Any emails sent from Paycor Recruiting on behalf of your corporate email address will now be sent from noreply@echo.newtonsoftware.com, and any emails sent from an individual user email address will now be sent from reply_ok@echo.newtonsoftware.com. 
• Starting on Wednesday, January 31, 2024:
  • Customers without DMARC configuration will no longer have the option to disable Echo functionality to have candidate responses sent directly back to the individual user email inbox.
    • All replies will populate directly in the candidate profile within Paycor Recruiting. To receive replies directly in your user email inbox you can cc yourself on the outbound email communications.

Do you want to maintain your company branding on email communications? 

• It is possible to update your current settings and maintain the ability for emails to be sent from your company email domain instead of @echo.newtonsoftware.com.
• To do so, you must configure Domain-Based Messaging Authentication (DMARC).
• Your company's Administrator who manages your email domain should review these DMARC and DKIM Setup Requirements.
