Select a sourcing method in Smart Sourcing

Step 5 in the process to setup and use Smart Sourcing for Recruiting.

This article is for administrators.

Overview

This is Step 5 in the process to set up and use Smart Sourcing for Recruiting.

Smart Sourcing analyzes your job description and provides candidate profiles that closely match your description.

This article explains how administrators and Smart Sourcing Managers select a sourcing method for a position.

Select a sourcing method

Smart Sourcing managers can finish the calibration process after they rate 7 profiles using the Qualify and Disqualify reasons. Refer to Calibrate a job profile for more information about the calibration process.

After you rate 7 profiles, a window opens with 3 options.

Choose one of these options to source candidates:

I want AI to automatically source candidates for me

  • When you select this option, AI automatically sources candidates that best fit your qualifications.
  • Smart Sourcing contacts the candidate pool. Candidates who express interest in the job are automatically added to the ATS as Smart Sourced candidates.
  • With this option, you also have the ability to set the Diversity settings.
    • This step is optional. It boosts the representation of candidates from different demographics in the talent pool.

I want to select additional candidates myself

  • This option allows you to manually select each candidate you would like Smart Sourcing to contact.
  • At the top-right, select Qualified or Disqualified to quickly mark candidates as qualified or unqualified.
  • The system automatically reaches out to qualified candidates. The unqualified candidates are not contacted.
  • Like the calibration step, the recruiter can qualify or disqualify a candidate by selecting a specific reason.
