Post Jobs to LinkedIn (Limited Posting)
Your jobs will not post to LinkedIn until this step is complete. Follow these steps to post a job to LinkedIn.
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
- Go to the Job Record and select the Job Promotion link.
-
Find LinkedIn - Limited Posting and select Promote. Promote will change to Active when the job is feeding to LinkedIn.
What to expect after posting
- It can take up to 24 hours for a new job or updates to appear on LinkedIn.
- Jobs will appear on LinkedIn search or on your company profile.
Understand Limited Postings
Limited Postings are free but have some limits compared to paid postings.
- They appear lower in search results than paid jobs.
- They are not suggested to job seekers in alerts or recommendations.
- If your organization is posting jobs to LinkedIn for the first time, LinkedIn may require an active Job Slot contract or another sponsored job posting agreement before it will ingest jobs from Recruiting.
For questions about this policy, job ingestion eligibility, or LinkedIn posting behavior, contact LinkedIn directly through the LinkedIn Help Center.
Paid LinkedIn Postings
You can also purchase paid job postings directly through LinkedIn. To use paid postings in LinkedIn:
- Create and activate the job in Recruiting.
- Create a tracking link that uses a source such as LinkedIn Sponsored.
- This will let you differentiate which candidates came from free vs paid posts.
- For information on tracking links, refer toCreate tracking links for external job boards.
-
Copy the Job Application/EEO Questionnaire Page tracking link URL.
- Create a sponsored job directly in LinkedIn.
-
Paste the tracking link into LinkedIn's external application URL field.
Applicants who apply through the sponsored posting will fill out your Paycor Recruiting application and their details will flow back into the Recruiting platform, associated with the appropriate job record.
Tips
- Always confirm your LinkedIn Company ID is correct.
- Activate your job before trying to promote it.
- Allow time for the job to appear after posting.
