Use your careers page
Your careers page is one of your best chances to show job seekers what makes your company stand out. Use it to show them why they should want to work for you.
Job seekers have a short attention span online. Your page must attract, engage, and convince them to apply. These Recruiting features help you do this:
- Use search engine optimization (SEO) to help job seekers find your page.
- Link to your careers page on all social media platforms.
- Update and edit your job descriptions with helpful information.
- Sponsor tough-to-fill jobs through the Recruiting Marketplace. For more information, refer to Getting Started in the Recruiting Marketplace.
- Add a clear path to your careers page on your website.
Create job descriptions that attract, engage, and convince
Some job seekers do not go straight to your careers page. They search for similar jobs on job boards. Use these features to lift your jobs in candidate searches:
- Write job descriptions that attract, engage, and convince candidates.
- Simplify and shorten your applications. For more information, refer to the Recruiting application builder.
- Incentivize your employees to write positive company reviews.
- Refresh your job postings every 4 to 6 weeks. This helps you get the most out of free job board partners. For more information, refer to Refresh job postings.
- Check the job boards to make sure your jobs are listed correctly. For more information, refer to Why Are Jobs Not Posting on Indeed?.
- Do not rely on job board partners alone. You can post on any job board with tracking links. For more information, refer to Advertise on any job board with tracking links.
Focus on a consistent candidate experience
Keep timely communication with all your candidates. This includes candidates you do not plan to move forward with.
- Update your Thanks for Applying message. Use job-specific Thank You for Applying emails. For more information, refer to Set up job specific Thank You for Applying email templates in Recruiting.
- Customize your email templates. Update candidates on their status along the way. For more information, refer to Create and share recruiting email templates.
- Text your candidates from Recruiting. For more information, refer to Candidate texting feature.
- Update and customize your Thank You Letter templates. For more information, refer to How Do I Create Custom Thank You Letter Templates in Recruiting?.
