A job does not always show on Indeed right away. When Recruiting sends your job to Indeed, Indeed might filter or block it based on its own posting policies.
Review common reasons for posting delays
These are common reasons a job posting might be delayed or blocked on Indeed:
- A new job added to your Careers Page can take up to 12 hours to appear or update on Indeed.
- A job listed in a large area, such as South Florida instead of Miami, might take longer to show up.
- A job title that includes a signing bonus, pay amount, or words like apply now or urgent need might be flagged as spam and removed. Write the job title the way it would appear on a business card.
- A job that asks for information not allowed by law, such as criminal history or salary history, in places where it is illegal, might be held up.
- A job description or application that asks for private information, such as a Social Security Number (SSN) or date of birth, might not appear on Indeed. For more information, refer to Indeed's Policy.
- A dated job posting that no longer shows up in searches might need a refresh. For more information, refer to Refreshing Job Postings.
- An application with links that send applicants to another website for tests or extra paperwork might be held up. Send these links in a Thank You for Applying email after the person applies. For more information, refer to Administrator's Guide to Thank You (Rejection) Letters in Recruiting.
