This article is for administrators.
- You must be an admin or staffing user or be assigned a role on the job.
- The candidate must exist in the Inactive section for the job.
You can reactivate an inactive candidate for the same job they were previously interested in, so you can move them back into the hiring process.
You can also reactivate an inactive candidate by assigning them to a different job. For more information on assigning candidates to another job, refer to Assign a candidate to another job.
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
- Select the job that includes the inactive candidate.
-
Expand the INACTIVE section on the Candidate Breakdown screen, and then select the candidate you want to reactivate.
-
On the candidate’s profile, select a hiring stage and status next to the greyed-out thumbs-up icon, such as Request Review.
- If you select Request Review, complete the review request email, and then select Send Email or Save if you choose not to send.
After you reactivate the candidate by moving them into a stage and setting a status, the system:
- updates the candidate status to active,
- displays a green thumbs-up icon to replace the greyed-out thumbs-up,
- the new status appears at the top of the candidate record within the stage you moved them into,
- the status change appears at the top of the candidate's Newsfeed,
- the candidate is automatically moved from the INACTIVE section to the appropriate active stage, such as REVIEW, on the Candidate Breakdown screen for the job.
