Create and preview custom job applications

Part of the Recruiting Application Builder Guide. Learn how to use the Application Builder in Recruiting to create and customize the application process.

Administrators can create and manage job applications in the Application Builder to match your company’s hiring needs. This allows you to customize questions and fields in your application, based on the criteria you need to gather. 

You can build unlimited custom applications based on your jobs and the information you want to collect. 

For additional details on the Application Builder, refer to Understand the Application Builder feature and resources.  

Create a custom application 

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.  
  2. Select Admin, then select Careers Page
  3. Select the Applications tab, then select Create an Application

  4. Enter a Title for the application. You must enter a title to save the application.

Notes 

  • The system includes pre-built blocks you can use.  
  • Some blocks are required and cannot be removed.  
  • Other blocks are editable and can be updated using the blue buttons within each block.   

Preview the application 

  1. Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.  
  2. Select Admin, then select Careers Page
  3. In the left panel under Applications, select the application you want to preview. 
  4. In the Application Builder, select Preview

A new browser window opens, showing the application as candidates see it. You can switch to the preview while making updates in the Application Builder.
