This article is for administrators.
You must have administrator access to manage your reasons for non-selection under the EEO/OFCCP settings.
This article explains how to access, add, and manage non-selection reasons. Non-selection reasons allow you to track why candidates are not selected or passed on for jobs they apply to. They also help you keep dispositioned candidates organized to support your reporting needs.
These reasons for non-selection flow into your EEO/OFCCP logs. You can report on them whenever you need.
Enable and access non-selection reasons
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking to open the Recruiting platform.
-
Select Admin, and then select EEO/OFCCP.
- Select Enable Reasons for Non-Selection.
-
Select Edit Reasons for Non-Selection.
Add a non-selection reason
- In the Edit Reasons for Non-Selection window, enter the fields:
- Summary for the category
-
Reason for the specific explanation
- Select Add. After you add a non-selection reason, the system includes it in your list of available reasons to pass on candidates. It is also available when you update candidate statuses and reporting.
Notes
- Non-selection reasons support EEO/OFCCP reporting.
- After you create a reason, you cannot edit it.
- You can delete a reason if needed.
System-defined reasons
The system includes standard reasons that you cannot edit or delete:
- No Response: No response from the candidate
- Duplicate: This candidate has already been submitted
- Job Closed: We closed this role (unfilled)
- Job Filled: We hired someone else for this role
- OTM (Off The Market): They were already off the market
- CNI (Candidate Not Interested): They were not interested in this position
- No-Start: We hired this person, but they did not start
Troubleshooting
- Cannot edit a reason: After a reason is created, it cannot be edited. Create a new reason if needed.
- Option is not available: Verify you selected Enable Reasons for Non-Selection.
- Cannot access the screen: Verify your administrator permissions.
