Overview
This user guide provides instructions on how to opt in or out of text messaging communications and how to send a text message to a candidate. Reports and additional resources are located at the bottom of this article.
How Do Candidates Opt-In for Text Messages?
- When texting is enabled, applicants can Opt-In to receive text message communications on the application. This must be enabled on a candidate’s record to receive a text message.
- If the candidate does not initially opt-in on the application, users can manually opt-in a candidate, assuming they have expressed consent to communicate via text.
- Some cell phone plans charge extra for text messaging, and some applicants might not have a texting plan at all.
- Administrators and Staffing Users can also manually opt-out candidates from text messaging. The toggle for this is found under the Info icon
in Privacy Tools. The Privacy Tools feature must be enabled to see these options. For more information, see Recruiting: Privacy Tools User Guide.
