This article is for administrators.
Follow these steps to reactivate a candidate for the same job they once were actively interested in.
Note: You can also reactivate an inactive candidate by assigning them to a different job.
1. Log in and go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking. The screen opens with a list of active jobs in your company.
2. Click the job with the inactive candidate. The job's Details screen appears.
3. Expand the INACTIVE section and click the candidate you want to reactivate. The candidate's Details screen appears.
4. At the top, to the right of the thumbs-up icon, click one of the statuses, such as Request Review. If you select Review Request, the screen updates at the top with a blue checkmark in place of the red thumbs-down icon, and a Review Request popup appears.
5. Complete the email to the candidate and click Save. The details screen updates with these:
- The thumbs-up icon is green.
- At the far right, the thumbs-down icon changed to Pass on Candidate.
- The status change appears at the top of the

The Candidate Breakdown tab for the job also updates: the reactivated candidate moved from the INACTIVE section to the REVIEW section.
