Submit a background check on a candidate
- Go to People > Hiring > Applicant Tracking. The Recruiting dashboard opens.
- Select the Active Job.
- Select the candidate who is in the Offer stage.
- Go to their Details screen.
- Select Submit Background Check.
- Another way to submit: Open the Candidate Info screen and select Background Check to submit a background check at any time. The Submit a Background Check popup window opens.
- In the Submit a Background Check popup window, select the background check package you want to use.
- Review the candidate details that will be sent to the background check provider.
- When ready, select Submit.
- After you submit, the background check provider adds updates to the candidate's newsfeed as the check moves forward.

Authorized users for submitting background checks
Administrators can submit background checks by default. Staffing Users and Standard Users can also get this permission through your integration settings. You can choose specific users to have this ability.
- By default, Standard Users can only select Request a Background Check.
- This sends a notification to the administrator to submit the background check to your provider.
- This does not send anything to your background check provider.
- Standard Users can be allowed to submit background checks, but this change affects all Standard Users.

Review all background checks for your organization
Use the integration dashboard at the top of the Recruiting application to get a quick view of all background checks.
- Go to Integrations > Background Checks
- The dasboard shows all candidates in the background check process.
- Candidates are removed from this dashboard when they are Hired or Inactivated.
